DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

About the Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the pioneering Departments of KSRIET. The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 2011. The Department offers Undergraduate Programme (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering and Postgraduate Programmes (M.E.) in CAD/CAM. The Department has over 13 instructional and research laboratories, equipped with some of the state-of-the-art scientific instruments and systems. The Department has highly qualified faculty members, out of those, four are Ph.D. qualified and two are pursuing Ph.D. The Department has modern facilities, enabling cutting edge research in a wide spectrum of technological areas includes Heat Transfer Enhancement, Composite Materials, Solar Energy etc. The pride of the Department lies in the significant research/seminar funding received from several Government agencies such as CSIR, ICMR, and AICTE-ISTE etc.Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with various Industry to bridge the gap between academia and industry practices. The Department has centers of excellence of Center for CENVAE, CENSER, CENIC, CENPAD, MERF and CENSEI to molds the students as industry ready Mechanical Engineers and as better human being.
