The department of Information Technology has its own library offering reference books for all subjects and areas of Information Technology. Department library occupies unique place in academic and research activities of the department. Department has rich and vast collection of text books with over hundreds of titles on a variety of topics. Library also possesses journals, magazines, project reports, lab manuals, question banks and CDs of e-journals and e-books. In addition, the Institute has registered as member of National Digital Library (NDL) and IEEE Computer Society Digital Library. Facilities have been created in the library for MHRD initiatives like Swayam, NPTEL etc.
The collection is strong in all aspects with special strengths in Programming basics, Software development, Computer Architecture and Organization, Operating systems, Networking and Database Administrations and on Internet Technologies. It also has one copy each of all B.Tech. and M.E. projects carried out in the department in recent years. All these cater to the needs of students and faculty with a seating capacity of 20. Most of the books are of recent edition with the facility of issuing these for a specified time period. The library serves to provide a calm and cozy ambience conductive to long hours of study. The library opens on all working days of the Institute from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Computerized cataloging and the active help of the library staff makes searching for volumes easy.
